WASSRA Membership is not just about Convention!

The Management Committee met for a two day workshop in January to consolidate WASSRA's goals and write a plan for its future. We also wrote practical suggestions for support of registrars which I will be taking to the Department in the near future. These suggestions were written after taking account of the 2003 survey and the "stress" emails I received from members. (A detailed report of this workshop will be in the first issue of the Voice and on the web).

Our three main goals for WASSRA's future are:

• Full support (24/7) for members
• Increased profile and credibility with DET and other Associations
• A paid full-time President, Business Manager and office facilities

For WASSRA to achieve the goals we have set the Association needs 100% membership of all Registrars and School Officers across the state. I urge all of you to renew your membership and encourage other Registrars and School Officers to join your Association. Membership is January to December, so please complete and return the membership form as soon as possible!

Subscriptions: The Voice Magazine

The aim of the Voice is to provide you with a professional resource to assist you in your work at the school site. This can include any informative articles such as:

• Computer Tips
• Workplace support
• Funny articles/Jokes
• Marriages, Births, Deaths, Retirements, Transfers
• Advertisements for Relief needed and available.
• District News
• Helpful Hints/tips/information on how to do our jobs better.

If you have an idea of something that you would like to see in the Voice Magazine contact Robyn Franich on the Management Committee, any articles or suggestions are appreciated. Digital Photos must be stored at the highest possible resolution.

The closing dates for each issue are week 4 of the term.
